Catherine Hartman is a PhD student in the Program in Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin. Catherine’s research interests include community college student success, student transfer from community colleges to four-year institutions, and linguistically diverse students’ experiences in postsecondary settings.
Catherine is currently a graduate research assistant at the Center for Community College Student Engagement. Before arriving at UT Austin, Catherine served as a graduate assistant in the Dean of Students Office, the Office of Academic Advising, and the School of Education at the College of William & Mary. She also worked as a museum educator for several years, teaching marine and environmental science programs to children and adults.
Catherine is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She earned a M.Ed. in Higher Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from William & Mary.
