Raúl Calvoz is a Ph.D. student in Educational Policy and Planning. His research interests include education & entrepreneurship and school climate.
Raúl began his career as an attorney handling litigation and corporate matters. After ten years practicing law, Raúl transitioned into business leadership. At 3M Company he served as a Global Business Manager, as well as Executive Committee Member for a 3M business group with over $1 billion in revenue. After 3M, he served as Vice President & Executive Committee Member, Europe for Travelocity where he was based in London and was responsible for pan-European businesses with over 400£ million in sales. Since returning to the U.S., he has been active working with early stage companies, including companies in the education sector.
Raúl earned his J.D. summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he served as Editor for the St. Mary’s Law Journal. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin and was a Kozmetsky Award recipient. His B.A. is in Philosophy, minor in History cum laude from Incarnate Word College.
